I feel like more people need to know about this amazing makeup company, I just can't see enough rave reviews out there to do the products justice!!
Basically the brand Makeup Revolution have fantastic dupes for high end makeup.
Honestly you guys the quality of the eyeshadows are impeccable and so so so cheap!
I am absolutely not being paid to say this, and I really wish I was haha #helpmeimpoor
If you are on a low budget looking for good quality products that are cheaper than a lot of drugstore brands - hold up what your doing (or finish reading this post first) and check out:
www.makeuprevolutionstore.com
I actually bought a ton of their palettes, pure pigments (which are literally £1) and contour palette so if you want to see FI, hauls, reviews or anything else please leave any requests in the comments or on social media linked below!
But in this post I want to compare the Iconic 3 palette to Urban Decay's Naked 3 palette.
I believe the Iconic 1 & 2 are dupes for the Naked 1 & 2 but I personally don't own these palettes to create a comparison.
So the Iconic 3 palette costs £4.00 and the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette costs around £38 give or take a couple quid depending on where you buy it. So it's a massive difference in price, however, I'm not trying to discourage the Naked palettes as they are stunning palettes that I absolutely love, but I am targeting this post for those who are on a low budget and simply can't afford the high end palette, or want to try out the shades before commiting to paying that much.
Without further adieu lets get on with the swatches!
As you can see by the swatches the shades are pretty much identical! I think the shimmer shades are equal in pigmentation, however you can see in the matte shades that the Naked 3 palette has that little extra pigmentation and vibrancy.
However I have used both palettes and the Iconic 3 blends equally as seamless as the UD palette.
The first shade in the Iconic 3 doesn't show up on camera for some reason, but shows up much better in real life.
You can see that the very last shade for the Naked 3 (Blackheart) is that slightest bit more vibrant and you can really see the deep plum/burgundy shimmers within the shadow. For the Iconic 3 this is not as obvious.
Overall, considering the Iconic 3 palette is £4 it is a fantastic dupe for the Naked 3 palette.
It's wonderful if you're on a low budget, or want to try out these shades before comitting to a higher end price tag.
Also great for travelling, the packaging is sleek and does feel sturdy, also a lot smaller - I would rather take this with me and if anything (god forbid) goes wrong - it's only £4 as opposed to losing £38.
Hope you enjoyed this comparison and that it helped out a little for anyone curious about the palettes!

NAKED 3 PALETTE X MAC HONEYLOVE | NEUTRAL LOOK
Inspired by rose hued neutrals and monotone products.
| EYES |
For the eyes I used MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly as a base. I then used Urban Decay primer in Sin on the center of the lid & inner corner.
I blended out the shade Limit in the crease - this will act as my transition colour as the other shades I use are all shimmer shades.
I used Trick in my inner half of the lid and liar in the outer half of the lid.
I then used Factory in my crease only going two thirds of a way in and Darkside for my outer corner.
Taking Mugshot I applied this along my lower lash line and Strange along my brow bone.
I went back in with Limit to blend everything out and used this to blend out Mugshot on the lower lash line.
I then used a white eyeliner by NYX along my waterline and tight lined with a gel pencil liner by Makeup Revolution. I created my winged liner with Soap & Glory Supercat Liner.
| LIPS |
I lined my lips with ELF Studio Lip Liner in Natural and used MAC Honeylove - it's a darker matte nude shade with a pink undertone - living for this shade RN <3
I will have a product list of every product used for this look down below!
Trying to keep my posts a bit more concise & to the point without rambling too much - hope this makes my posts clearer and easier to follow!

HOW TO WEAR BLUE BROWN EYES | FT. MAKEUP STORE MICROSHADOW 'VOLGA'
Today I'm basing this look around Make Up Store's Microshadow in the shade 'Volga' - a beautiful warm brown with blue duochrome. Agh it's so pretty and makes me want all of the shadows!
Even though it's a lovely colour I was a bit stuck on how I could incorporate it into a look, so if you're stuck for ideas here you are!
Also, if you didn't know BeautyBay.com now sell MUS products! They recently had a 3 for 2 where I got this eyeshadow with a lip liner (which I use in this look) and their lipstick in Pretty Baby.
I decided to create a wing, this is optional but I think it tied everything together. I then highlighted my inner corner and the center lid using Make Up Revolutions Awesome Metals in Rose Gold - it's exactly the same as the Stila Magnificent Metals but a fraction of the price! I actually used this dry and just dabbed with my finger rather than mixing with the liquid primer.
LIPS | For the lips used Make Up Stores lip liner in My Precious Coral, and then went over with Make Up Academy's Lipstick in Shade 16 Nectar (their lipsticks are literally £1) then used a clear gloss on top for a glossy finish.
Hope you enjoyed this post & got some inspiration or ideas for your duochrome shadows!

KYLIE JENNER/90's GRUNGE INSPIRED MAKE UP LOOK
I was heavily inspired by Kylie Jenner's new 90's-esque look that she's been rocking lately and I've also been really into TAUPE lips. You heard me right. I've combined the two and not to toot my own horn, but I absolutely love this look! And even though it's spring/summer we can all just be vampires and sit inside wearing dark lipstick #amIright #oramIright
Products used for EYES:
NYX Eyeliner Pencil in White
Dainty Doll Concealer in 001 (applied as a base)
Maybelline EyeStudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner 24h in Black (long ass name, huh)
Maybelline Scandaleyes Mascara & Avon Infinitize Mascara
H&M Nudes Pallete in Soft Nudes.
Products used for LIPS:
Maybelline EyeStudio Colour Tattoo 24hr in Permanent Taupe (as a liner - weird but it works!)
ELF Matte Lip Colour in Tea Rose.
Hope you all enjoy this look as much as I do, If you did please subscribe for more posts!
I'm really loving this trend right now :) thanks for reading!

MY E.L.F LIPSTICK COLLECTION | SWATCHES, LIP DEMO & REVIEW
Bonjour my little petit pois (idk) today I will show you my entire ELF (Eyes Lips Face) lipstick collection. Hopefully this helps you out if you're considering purchasing ELF lipsticks, I will take shots of the packaging, lipstick bullet, swatches on my arm and a demonstration on how it looks actually on the lips.
Classy - light muted pink. One of my favourites, a very daytime, natural pink that you could also wear at night with a dramatic or heavy eye look if you don't want to settle for a plain nude.

Nicely Nude Pouty Pink - A nude with a subtle peachy/pink undertone. Great for that little extra something and a "go to" shade if you can't decide what lipstick to go for as I think it goes with any eye look.
*UPDATE* Sorry guys! I've had a serious blonde moment, Pouty Pink is actually called Runway Pink, I think I've confused this with another lipstick in my collection woops! Regardless I still think it should be called Nicely Nude lol.
Essential Lipsticks - £1.95
Seductive - Peachy nude, on the darker side of nude, would look amazing on darker skin but still wearable for all skintones.
Excuse the presentation of Socialite in the image of the lipstick bullet - I pretty much never wear
this lipstick and actually used it for a Uni project that involved
writing with lipstick.. art college 'nuff said lol. The reason I don't
really wear Socialite is because it's full of glitter - the
lipstick isn't showing up as glittery in the swatches as it is in real
life - I personally just dislike shimmer or glitter on the lips, but if
thats your thing then go for it!
Classy - light muted pink. One of my favourites, a very daytime, natural pink that you could also wear at night with a dramatic or heavy eye look if you don't want to settle for a plain nude.
Gypsy - Dark pink with purple undertone, almost plum but lighter and more pink - a great colour to start out with if you want to venture into plums and purples. Also I've discovered this lipstick really doesn't budge! This is my favourite one out of the Essential lipsticks.
_______________________________________________________________
Mineral Lipstick - £5.00
Natural Nymph - a straight up NUDE. No pink or peach undertones, just simple nude. Great for fair skin, and an amazing colour to wear with very dramatic and dark make up, I personally wouldn't wear this for daytime as without dramatic make up elsewhere I look very washed out.
Nicely Nude - The name suggests nude, but in my opinion its a light, natural pink. Especially in comparison to Pouty Pink - at first I thought I got the names the wrong way round but nope! I feel this shade should be called Pouty Pink instead. It has slight gold iridescents but is very subtle, you can only really notice it in the tube.
*UPDATE* Sorry guys! I've had a serious blonde moment, Pouty Pink is actually called Runway Pink, I think I've confused this with another lipstick in my collection woops! Regardless I still think it should be called Nicely Nude lol.
Moisturising Lipstick - £3.95
Coral Cutie - Very vibrant, bright coral. Great for spring and summer, however not at moisturising as I'd hoped and is slightly chalky feeling, but I think I just got a bad batch as Flirty & Fabulous is very moisturising and exactly how I expected.
Flirtly & Fabulous - Vibrant orchid shade, this shade has become a staple lip colour for Spring 2014. I love how moisturising yet pigmented it is, and is also long lasting as I find it stains my lips.
_______________________________________________________________
Matte Lip Colour - £3.95
Tea Rose - A dusty, antique rosy pink. I think this would look amazing on darker skintones, I personally love it on my fair skin but I think if you are fair then you will either love it or hate it. I find this doesn't go as matte as Rich Red, I would consider this a satin finish rather than matte.
Rich Red - Bright red with blue undertones - staple red that brightens your complexion - see how much more pale my skin looks in comparison to the swatch with Tea Rose!? It applies as a satin finish but becomes matte quickly. It feels dry but not unbearabe, however I haven't experienced any flaking or cracking even when eating. I highly recommend this if you love a red lip as it lasts a very long time and stains the lips so the colour remains long after the product has worn off. I went for a meal wearing this and was constantly checking thinking "it must need a touch up now" but I didn't need to touch up at all!
Hope you like this and it helped a bunch, if you did please click the subscribe button for more posts from me! I try to post once a week - I slacked for a bit because Uni is k i l l i n g me but I finish soon meaning more time to focus on blogging!

SWATCHES | MAX FACTOR SMOKY EYE EFFECT EYESHADOW
Good evening to all (if you're in the UK that is) well.. good day in general for everyone incase you're not from the UK *best intro ever*
Sorry I didn't post on Wednesday, I could go on for ages about why but basically Uni, 'nuff said right?
I just wanted to make sure I did something for this week so I thought 'oh my lets provide some revolutionary swatches'
because I am alwaaaaays looking for swatches, and maybe its a product thats not very popular so it's bloody hard to find decent swatches so anyway lets get on with it...
I'll be swatching the Max Factor Smoky Eye Effect Eyeshadows in a variety of shades.
Haven't seen much on this product on the internet from my personal research so hopefully if you're interested in these this post will be helpful
The product provides two shades in a dual ended tube in a twist-up-lipstick sort of fashion #AwfulDescriptionAward
They retail for £6.99 at Boots, which I think isn't too bad for 2 eyeshadows I feel like you do get a decent amount of product, and Max Factor is a higher end drugstore brand. The idea is to follow the "step 1" and "step 2" signs on each end to get your smoky eye.
Now, I use these as bases for my eyeshadow as I have oily lids, if you don't have oily lids you could probably get away with using just these as an eyeshadow alone. So please bear that in mind when purchasing. As a base I feel they work great, highly pigmented (in my opinion) also very easy and quick application as you just roll it on your eyelid straight away and you'll only need a brush to blend out.
Onyx smoke I really like, the white and black are both very pigmented which I really appreciate because when I buy a black or white I literally want it as white as friggin angel wings and as black as the pits of hell - ya dig? (not sure why the biblical references were necessary)
The black does have glitter in - as you can probably see with your own two eyes - I personally prefer a matte black but its great for parties and when you just feel like going really dramatic.
Silver storm I think would look great on steel blue eyes or cool toned skin. As with all of the swatches, high pigmentation. The purple/plum looks a little grey in the picture but it's definitely more of a deep plum in real life.
Purple Dust looks like two bronze tones in the picture (don't know what was wrong with my camera today!) however the first colour is a warm toned mauve where the second is pretty true to how it shows in the picture as a dark 'antique' gold. This would really compliment warm toned skin, and brown or hazel eyes.
Hope this post helped! Obviously these are just my suggestions but you can definitely use any duo no matter your undertone or eye colour (a lot of magazines/sites say purple doesn't suit blue eyes but I love wearing it haha)
See you next week xo

MAYBELLINE COLOUR TATTOO 24HR REVIEW & SWATCHES & HUGE MAKE UP DISCOUNT!
I recently purchased 3 Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24hr cream gel eyeshadows, and after using these I definitely want to try more shades & one has become a permanent product in my everyday routine.
I was worried about these as I have oily lids however I heard good things about the eyeshadows staying power so I thought I'd give them a go.
I got the shades Eternal Gold, Permanent Taupe and Pink Gold. Read on for swatches, my thoughts and where to buy them at a HUGE discounted price :)
Firstly, I love the clear bottoms as they show the true colour of the eyeshadow which I really like as I feel the product labels are a bit misleading, the label for Permanent Taupe actually implies that the colour has shimmer in it as (you may not be able to see very clearly in the first image) they have added shimmer.
Permanent Taupe.
Aside from a shimmery label, the actual eyeshadow is a staple matte taupe shade and is my absolute favourite. It's the shade I use everyday now, I simply add some of the eyeshadow onto a blending brush using a stipple motion and then blend this from the outer third of my lid towards my inner third which gives a lovely gradient effect and is very natural. It's also buildable, so you can go from a "no make up" make up look to a dark brown smokey eye. I need no other eyeshadows to help transition from this colour to my natural lid colour which is amazing as I am extremely pale - this shadow is very versatile and blends amazingly on its own. It also dries fairly quickly so you have to act fast, which I personally like as you do get your make up done quicker.
Eternal Gold & Pink Gold.
I feel these two shades are very similar in consistency and pigmentation - this may be the case for all the shimmery shades in the line. They have a much creamier consistency than Permanent Taupe, and I feel they need a powder eyeshadow to set them on my lids, if you don't have oily lids then you probably don't need it. To set them, I use the shimmer shades from my Sleek i-Divine palette in Organza or Gateau for Pink Gold & a general gold shadow for Eternal Gold (see these shades swatched in my review here) and it looks AMAZING. If you thought the Sleek shadows were pigmented before then you mind will be blown lol, even though we're using fairly neutral shades here it stands out so much and will add some oomph to a neutral look - omg it looks so pretty haha.
From left to right - Eternal Gold, Pink Gold & Permanent Taupe. All just one swipe each. So pigmented! #Love
STAYING POWER - On my oily lids these eyeshadows will last at least 4-6 hours without a primer. When I use a primer it will last 8 hours EASY. These are great if you're working 9-5 or have long days at Uni because they will stay put and will not fade. No wonder these are constantly raved about. I'd love to try the rest of the line, especially Metallic Pomegranate.
Where I purchased & huge mega super duper discount!
I bought mine at Boots and you can pretty much find them in any drugstore. However I discovered a site called Fragrance Direct (click and it will take you to the site!) they are selling the Colour Tattoo's for just £1.50 each (!!!!) I think that's amazing compared to the price of £4.99 in Boots #soexcite
